Lighting an exhibition is a complex planning task, after all it is not just the room which must be illuminated, but even more importantly the objects themselves. At the same time, lighting must incorporate solutions for protecting and conserving the exhibits. A thorough analysis of the location and the collection are the starting point for the creative design process. But lighting can never become an end in itself, rather it should serve to highlight exhibits and make orientation easier by demarcating spaces. IGLHAUT + von GROTE develops dramatic settings in light with optimal efficiency, achieved through a clever combination of daylight, room lighting and exhibit lighting, as well as the use of daylight sensors. With high aesthetic standards, object settings and light rooms are created which unobtrusively integrate in-built technology. The optimal illumination of objects and spaces opens up new perspectives of perception for the observer.
