The office produced a new concept for the city’s museum institutions and presentations commissioned by the City of Herford; it takes into account urban-developmental conditions as well as the existing collections. The centrepiece is a museum conceived as a “glass house” beside the Minster. By means of a display of existing original relics, this aims to develop specific features of the city’s 1,200-year history including all the remarkable events and developments. In addition, an operational modus of changing exhibitions was recommended for the Daniel Pöppelmann House, the current municipal museum in Herford.
