Today, the topic of play is not only present in the field of entertainment with its game-shows, competitions, gambling and computer games. Methods and theories now employed in economics, politics, technology and research are also based on the structures of play. In turn, complex theories of play are reflected in the latest computer games. Here, a game has long been more than a way of practising behavioural patterns; it conveys specific worlds in which to exist. Today, the child not only develops his approach to the real world while playing; we also use models and structures of play as methodical means of insight. The exhibition took up these findings and demonstrated the dimensions of a society at play. The consulting service involved the realisation of workshops with scientists and exhibition-makers and the development of prototype exhibition modules.
