Stefan Iglhaut – Exhibition Designer and Cultural Manager
Stefan Iglhaut is an exhibition designer and cultural manager, who develops projects and concepts at the interface of art, science and public relations. In 2001 he founded the office IGLHAUT+PARTNER, the predecessor to IGLHAUT + von GROTE. As curator of international exhibition projects and project director of major events like the theme park of the world exhibition EXPO 2000, since the early 1990s he has made a mark in a field that brings together art, cultural history and current research. Accordingly, he leads teams from all disciplines of content and design that work on exhibition, museum and cultural projects of varying formats. As a cultural scientist, he succeeds in developing innovative concepts not by specialising in one subject, but by applying networked, integrated approaches to the content of cultural historical museums. Besides the planning of content and design, he is also responsible for all aspects of project supervision and financing.
For many years, Stefan Iglhaut has edited and published books, catalogues and electronic publications with a special emphasis on the border areas and transitions between science, art, media and society. He also passes on his experience to students of museology, scenography and cultural management at home and abroad by lecturing and running academy workshops.

Gesa von Grote – Architect and Scenographer
Dipl.– Ing. Gesa von Grote is an architect and a scenographer. At IGLHAUT + von GROTE she is responsible for the artistic direction and coordination of the design team (architecture, graphic design, media). In her many years of experience cooperating with museums, she has succeeded in translating complex cultural historical and scientific content into spaces that tell stories, so making it accessible to a wider audience. Together with the interdisciplinary team of IGLHAUT + von GROTE she transposes thematic content into spatial dramaturgy and develops concepts for presentation that involve the combination and interplay of the surrounding space, exhibition architecture, graphic design and interactive exhibits.
Besides the visitor-experience, parameters relevant to the protection of exhibits like light, air-conditioning and security also require planning. The focus here is not on aspects of design, but on a choice of technical fittings that reduces operating costs and on the energy-efficient modernisation of buildings. Her study of architecture at the RWTH in Aachen and work at various architectural offices provide a basis of understanding in this context.
In addition, Gesa von Grote supervises the modernisation of interiors and the implementation of design and technical fittings in cooperation with her specialist planners.
